Shayan Nowroozpour practices in the areas of labor and employment litigation and complex business litigation. Mr. Nowroozpour mainly defends businesses and their owners who have been sued in labor and employment lawsuits, including claims brought under the Fair Labor Standards Act for overtime and minimum wages, claims for commissions and other compensation, claims of employment discrimination including claims of sexual harassment, hostile work environment, retaliation, and related claims. Mr. Nowroozpour has substantial business experience prior to his legal career and he uses this understanding to better advocate for the Mavrick Law Firm’s business clientele. Mr. Nowroozpour is fluent in Spanish, and is able to communicate with witnesses to understand case nuances to effectively represent clients. Mr. Nowroozpour received his Juris Doctorate degree from Nova Southeastern University and his law school awarded him academic honors. He graduated from Florida International University also with academic honors.
